ClimateLaunchpad 2017 is now open for applications

The competition is now open for applications. ClimateLaunchpad welcomes innovations in renewable energy, energy efficiency, food and agriculture, water, transportation, industrial technology or any other way to tackle climate change. The judging criteria are impact on climate change, business potential and skills within the team.

What is ClimateLaunchpad (CLP)?
CLP is the world’s largest green business idea competition that creates a stage for the people who have great cleantech ideas and help them develop those ideas into startups making global impact. Over 35 countries are expected to join the 2017 edition. CLP is supported by over 100 partners from all over Europe which includes companies like Accenture, Benard Schulte Shipmanagement, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Hellenic Bank, Microsoft, PWC, Sparebank, Volvo and World Wide Fund.

The Top-10 winners of CLP’s Grand Final will win direct access to the Climate-KIC accelerator, where great ideas grow into great businesses. Last but not least: the Winner of the Grand Final receives 10,000 EUR, the runner up gets 5,000 EUR and the idea that comes in third place wins 2,500 EUR.

Application: deadline for teams from Latvia is May 14, 2017.
